From Amilcar to BMW, there is a great selection of Classic Vehicles, going under the hammer at Errol Airfield this weekend. The Auction has a huge range of fresh, quality entries with some very attractive guide prices. So, for those considering dusting off the winter cobwebs with a stylish Classic, Scotland’s Classic Car Auction of 2018 on Saturday April 28th might be the place for you.
This Auction is always one of the highlights of the Scottish Classic season with great entries from every decade from Modern Day back to the 1920s. Starting at the most vintage year we have a 1923 Amilcar and a Citroen Type C and from later in the decade a 1929 Chevrolet GMC Coupe which was once an exhibit in an Ohio Museum before being imported to the UK in 1989, which has an enticing guide price of between £10,000 and £12,000.
The Star Cars for the 1930’s are two distinctive Austin’s, we have an Austin 7 which was, as was common practise, changed to a pick-up. With an estimate of £8,000 – £9,000, this intriguing Lot is an ideal platform for commercial advertising or as a show exhibit. We also have an Austin 16 Light 6 York which has been fully restored and has a guide price of between £10,000 and £12,000.
Moving into the 1940’s era there is another great American entry, a sublime 1947 Chrysler Windsor C38 which is reported to have featured in the hit TV show, Outlander! Next up we meet the era of “Rock’N’Roll” with a great selection of 1950’s nostalgia from Cars to Motorbikes and one noteworthy example is a 1950 Velocette LE.
1960’s were a stylish era and the smooth lines of the Ford Anglia Super epitomises the decade.
The choice of the 1970’s is endless and includes a bright Orange VW Type Camper, along with a good number of fantastic cars from manufacturers such as BMW, Triumph, MG, Rolls Royce and Seddon in the commercial market.
Moving into the more Modern Classics, 1980s, 1990s and on there are some great cars from a 1987 Ford Capri Laser which has seen a huge amount of interest maybe because of its appealing Guide price of £2,000 to £3,000 through to a stunning 2001 Mercedes-Benz G500 L, Guide at £20,000 – £25,000.
